The owners of this Ringwood house, were looking to bring a warm and traditional style to their new build kitchen.
A big island bench with lots of drawer storage was important to my clients. They wanted their kitchen to be the main focal point with clear sight lines that extend across the living areas.
Shaker style cabinets doors and a ceramic sink brings a warm country feel to this kitchen, and the butler's pantry provides a lot of extra storage as well as functionality.
The long, low window at the back of the kitchen sink brings light into the room. Keeping the window narrow allows for lots of overhead glass fronted display cabinets.
Preston Kitchen & Laundry
The owners of this Preston property like clean lines and a Skandi style. They were able to take advantage of the tall ceilings and white cabinets to really open up the kitchen.
The stone coloured benchtop, timber veneer overhead cabinets, and wood accents on the drawer handles give this kitchen it's warmth.
The island bench has a good size overhang that allows for stool seating which is a great place for kids to do their homework or help with some weekend baking.
The butler's pantry provides extra storage as well as the usual out-of-sight functionality. All cabinets in the kitchen and butlers pantry have under-cabinet strip lighting.
The laundry was tied into the scheme of the kitchen and butlers pantry with the same countertop, and splashback tiles. The style and colour of cabinets and handles are also replicated in the laundry, as well as under cabinet lighting.
Oooh, aaahhhh, black and timber! How good does this look? Nice contrast with 2 tone cabinets, black on bottom, white on top, all clean lines. This kitchen has a non-conventional footprint which we were able to work with to make the most of the space.
The white quartz benchtops are stunning and bounce the light around that comes in through the nearby glass doors and windows. These doors have a black surround that matches seamlessly with the kitchen.
The island bench has a good overhang and is long enough to provide stool seating for 4 people. The backsplash is timeless white subway tiles, and the timber shelves with black hardware match the kitchen accessories.
The butler's pantry provides a extra storage as well as the usual out-of-sight functionality. All the overhead cabinets in the kitchen have warm under-cabinet strip lighting.
Is this really a laundry?
The pic is crooked which kinda bugs me, but the bottom would be crooked to if you straightened it. Hmmm.
The Herringbone pattern splashback with deep dish ceramic bowl, along with modern sleek black tapware and cabinets make this a stunning little area.
Box Hill South Laundry
The owners of this house have exceptional taste when it comes to colour choices, but I'm not so sure about having a bbq grill in a laundry. Your thoughts?
Okay, jokes... just motivating you to telling the story, 'coz you know it and I just get to make stuff up.
A compact space where every surface has been thought about and is functional. The Eucalyptus coloured splash back works exceptionally well with the timber on the cabinets and blends with the Australian bush that can be seen through the window.
The open overhead cabinet gives easy access to laundry powers and cleaners, and the big double door cupboards hide away tall items such as brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners.
There's a drying rack over the trough and the bench space on top of the washing machine provides a nice area for folding clothes.
