Hi, I'm Penny, the designer behind Kitchens by Uralla Solutions.
I work with homeowners to create kitchens and living spaces that suit the way they live and use their home every day.
Renovating can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. There are often more decisions to make than people expect, and it can be difficult to know where to start. My role is to help guide the process, simplify those decisions and create a design that reflects what's important to you.
Although I'm the designer, I don't believe a successful project is about my personal style. Every client, family and home is different.
I spend a lot of time listening and asking questions. I want to understand how you use your home, what frustrates you about your current space and what you'd like to achieve from your renovation.
The more I understand how you live and use your home, the better the design outcome will be.
I also believe that part of my role is to help clients understand the options available to them. Many people come into the process with ideas they have gathered online or from friends and family, but there are often design opportunities, considerations and solutions they may not be aware of. My job is to explain the pros and cons, answer the questions you haven't thought to ask yet and help you make informed decisions that suit your home, lifestyle and budget.
My role is to take those ideas, priorities and practical requirements and bring them together into a space that works well, looks great and fits the way you live.
At the end of the day, a kitchen has to work for the people using it. If it looks great but doesn't function well, it misses the mark.
When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with family, exploring historic architecture, Urban Sketching and working on various creative projects.
